A man allegedly shot dead his wife over a domestic dispute and later committed suicide near on Monday. Police took both the bodies into custody and handed them over to heirs after postmortem and initiating legal action. According to the police report, Abdul Manan, 45, a resident of Satiana Road who had a cardboard business, got into an argument with his second wife, Irshad Bibi, 30, during Iftar. Afterwards, he locked the door of a room from inside, shot Irshad Bibi and threw her on a bed. She succumbed to her injuries. Later on, Abdul Mannan shot himself in the head. Read Woman, minor allegedly sexually assaulted The news of the death of the couple came to light when a cousin of Irshad Bibi came to the house to meet her. He saw that the door was locked from inside. He broke down the door along with the locals and saw that both of them were lying dead after being shot. Tthere was a pistol lying near Abdul Manan. Upon information, Satiana police reached the spot and took the bodies into custody. They handed over the bodies to the heirs after postmortem and started an investigation into the matter. According to SHO Satiana Inspector Khizar Hayat, Abdul Manan had been arguing with his wife Irshad Bibi for several days. He had married Irshad Bibi eight years ago but had no children with his second wife. Due to this, there was a quarrel between the couple.
