Tourist killed resisting masked robbers in Murree

A tourist was shot dead on the New Murree Patriata chairlift top station for allegedly resisting masked robbers on Monday. According to details, 35-year-old Muhammad Abbas, hailing from Faisalabad, reached the Patriata spot with his brother and nephew in his car. They were walking towards the viewpoint when two masked robbers intercepted them. The suspects frisked the victims and snatched valuables from them and then fired shots at Abbas. Rescue 1122 reached the crime scene and provided first-aid to the victim but he died. Published in The Express Tribune, March 2nd, 2021.
