A man allegedly opened fire on his sister-in-law and her paramour while visiting his brother on Thursday in Chak Jhumra, Punjab. Police said the suspect found both of them together where a 30-year-old woman, a resident of Jhumra Road, was involved in an illicit affair with her neighbour 29-year-old Sufiyan Waris. As the woman’s husband, Muhammad Naveed who is bus driver went on his duty last night. Sufiyan went to meet the woman in the absence of her husband. Woman’s brother-in-law Asif Ibrahim saw the duo together and opened fire on them. Read more: Two killed in armed clash between clans As a result, both were seriously injured. After the medical treatment, both of them were shifted to the hospital where Sufiyan succumbed to his injuries. Upon information, police reached the spot and took the body of the deceased in custody. They have started investigating further into the matter. The body of the deceased into their custody and handed it over to his heirs after post-mortem. A case as registered against the fugitive accused and a search was launched for him. According to SHO Fedmak Sub-Inspector Muhammad Suleiman, the victim had an illicit affair with the woman and he had come to meet her at 3:00 am when Asif saw them both.
