One person was killed and three injured in an armed clash that broke out between two groups over disputed land in the Bani Gala area on Thursday. Police said 18 suspects had been arrested and a case had been registered against them under the anti-terrorism act. As a result of the cross-fire, Chaudhry Gulbaz died while three others were injured, police said. The disputed site has been sealed by the police and a heavy police force has been deployed there too. A spokesperson said the deceased and the injured had been shifted to the hospital for medico-legal formalities. The DIG operations said they would deal with the peace spoilers and members of the land mafia with iron hands.
