Prime Minister Imran Khan will visit Chakwal today to lay the foundation stone of several development projects worth over Rs15 billion. During his visit, the premier will perform the groundbreaking of a 500-bed hospital in the area and also inaugurate the University of Chakwal. The university will provide higher education facilities to the youth of the region. In addition, a law college will also be inaugurated. The premier will also lay the foundation stone of Chakwal ring road and address local representatives. The prime minister's visit to Chakwal is part of the government's focus on development projects across the country, particularly in those districts that have been previously neglected. Special Assistant to the Punjab Chief Minister on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government believes in practical service of the people through development projects. "People across Punjab are benefiting from the equal development policies of the provincial government," she wrote.
