Augustine lauds PM’s UNGA speech

Punjab Minister for Human Rights and Minorities Affairs (HR&MA) Ejaz Alam Augustine has said that Prime Minister (PM) of Pakistan Imran Khan's address to the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) truly reflected the sentiments of the people of Pakistan.

In a statement issued on Sunday, he said that it was Imran Khan who vehemently presented the case of the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K) at every international forum to expose the human rights violations by the Indian armed forces in the disputed region.

He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan talked of the problems facing the world and their solution in a substantive way.

The premier had underlined the need for alleviating poverty, climate change and containment of Islamophobia, he added.

PM Khan also talked of peaceful resolution of Kashmir and Palestine issues for lasting peace in the world. Ejaz Alam further said that “Indian state rowdyism in Kashmir” was exposed at the UNGA.

“The world is singing praises for Imran Khan over his strategy against Covid-19 and the revival of the economy.” He remarked that the premier was not only a leader of Pakistan but also of the entire region.
