The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Health Department on Friday reported the first polio case of the year in Bannu. A three-year-old child, a resident of Bannu, has been diagnosed with polio. According to the health department spokesperson, an anti-polio campaign on behalf of the health ministry to was currently under way. Last year also the highest number of polio cases were reported in K-P. Twenty cases were reported in the province in 2022. Seventeen polio cases surfaced in North Waziristan, two in Lakki Marwat and one in South Waziristan.
