Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique has directed the authorities concerned to take forward the Thar Coal Transportation Project on a priority basis. Presiding over a meeting at the Pakistan Railways Headquarters on Saturday, he directed to make a uniform design policy for vending stalls of railways. Rafique expressed satisfaction over punctuality and occupancy of passenger trains being run up to Karachi. The minister said that the private sector should be taken on board to ensure cleanliness of 20 big railway stations and trains. “The Quetta-Zahedan section should be upgraded and freight operation should be expedited,” he maintained.
