Three members of a family including a couple were killed whereas two others were injured in a vehicle collision on Lahore Road. Police handed over the three bodies to the heirs after taking necessary action. According to the police report, Irfan, the son of Khurshid and a resident of 217RB, was traveling on a motorcycle from Faisalabad city to Khurrianwala with his wife 33-year-old Tanveer Bibi, his daughter 16-year-old Laiba, and sons 12-year-old Ahtesham and 9-year-old Zubair. On Lahore Road, the driver of a speeding tractor-trolley Nishan hit the motorcyclists while showing negligence. As a result of the incident, all five members of the family were seriously injured and were shifted to a hospital where Irfan, Tanveer Bibi and Laiba succumbed to their injuries. Road accidents involving the deaths of multiple family members were not uncommon in Punjab. On June 5, at least four members of a family including a woman and her three sons passed away in a road accident that occurred on Ferozepur Road on the outskirts of Lahore.
