The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 18 more lives across the province over the past 24 hours. According to the data shared by the spokesperson of Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department (P&SHD), 171 fresh infections were reported in Punjab after which the number of coronavirus cases swelled across 344,970. The total recoveries were 324,530 and total deaths reached in Punjab 10,633. The P&SHD confirmed that 91 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Lahore, one in Sheikhupura, two in Sialkot, one in Gujrat, eight in Faisalabad, five in Jhang, two in Sargodha and three in Mianwali. Read more: Covid-19 claims 22 more lives in Punjab Moreover, three virus cases were reported in Khushab, seven in Bhakkar, seven in Multan, two in Vehari, two in Lodhran, one in Dera Ghazi Khan, one in Layyah, 11 in Rahim Yar Khan, five in Bahawalpur, two in Okara and one in Sahiwal during the past 24 hours. Punjab Health Department had so far conducted 5,478,938 tests for Covid-19. The health department urged the citizens to follow SOPs for their protection and cover their faces with masks. The people should wash their hands with soap several times in a day to protect themselves from Covid-19. Contact helpline 1033 immediately on symptoms of coronavirus, the spokesperson added.
