Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that for the first time development work is being carried out in the neglected areas of Punjab. The former rulers launched development projects in the areas suiting their political interests, he claimed. Speaking to the media on Sunday, he said the government had chalked out development schemes keeping in view the basic needs of the people. “On the one hand, the provincial metropolis reflects development whereas on the other hand there is deprivation. The government will provide facilities in the neglected areas of Lahore.” The traffic problem at specific spots will be resolved by building overhead bridges and underpasses, the chief minister added.
