“The Calibri Queen’s visit to the shrines of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto is merely for political interests which demonstrates her rejection of anti-Bhutto stance maintained by her father and uncle,” Special Assistant to Punjab Chief Minister on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said on Sunday while lampooning Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) Leader Maryam Nawaz. She further said that after the failure of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab, Maryam is now begging support from the people of Sindh. “Maryam Nawaz is an unguided and useless missile and the senior leadership of her party has distanced itself from her rallies,” the special assistant asserted. These views were expressed by Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan during her visit to an Old Age Home in Maskan Sialkot on Sunday. She confidently added that the government would complete its full term and was not afraid of the PDM ‘stunts’. Published in The Express Tribune, December 28th, 2020.
